FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I contact you?

I am usually booked up to 2 years in advance, but will always have some availability the same year.  I would always recommend dropping me an email  in particular now that lots of venues have opened up weekdays.

How do we book you?

I always suggest you email me first with your requirements, I then recommend setting up a video call with you so we can familiarise  ourselves with one another.  This is a perfect opportunity for both to ask questions.  I ask you to let me know within 3 days if you would like to book me so I can then pop over a contract to you to complete and return along with your booking fee of £250 to secure the date. If I haven't heard from you by then I will release the date to avoid another couple being disappointed.

What is the booking fee?

The booking fee is £250 upfront to secure the date.

When do we need to pay the balance?

You can pay the balance how and whenever you like, as long as it is paid 3 months prior to the date I leave this down to you. I will work with you with whatever suits your financial needs. For example all up front, or monthly payments or in one go 3 months prior to the date.

My Style and how I work?

My style is candid, documentary and ensuring I capture all your beautiful still portraits and group shots. My photos are fresh, bright and vibrant, capturing those spontaneous moments that often go unseen. Most of the day you won’t even notice I am there, just letting those natural moments roll out. A bit like a ninja, you see me then you don’t.  I try to be unobtrusive to get the natural candid moments between yourself and your lovely guests. Picture this, your nana's dentures falling in her G&T, the flower boy poking his fingers in the cake and the clueless best man floundering around the venue because he has forgotten his one task. These are the moments I look for and love capturing. Every wedding has momentous memories and it is these that tell the story of your day.

For your couple photos and group shots I will be there with guidance to ensure you look and feel amazing. My goal is to capture the beauty and rawness of your love for one another so just be yourselves, laugh and cry and have the best day ever as this will be relayed in your story to come through my work.

I fit in with the style of your wedding, I mingle with the guests without them realising I’m the photographer, this way everyone feels more relaxed and lets their guard down. I am also known for being spotted on the dance floor and getting right in the middle to get those epic dance floor shots!  I'm really friendly and approachable and use the help of your bestie's to gather any group shots required as they are best known to recognise any family members.

All I say is just relax and enjoy your special day and let me do the work.

Is there a charge for travelling?

No extra charge for UK weddings but for flights and accommodation for destination weddings will be built into your collection dependant on where it is. If you are getting married in Zante Greece then no costs are added as I have my family home there. I know right, how lucky am I?

What kind of equipment do you use?

I am a Sony girl and use the @Sony A7III mirrorless range. I first started working with them from the age of 18 and still am a big, big fan. On your day, I will have two cameras with me and two as back up cameras plus lenses. I have a range of flashes, LED lights and light stands for those evening shots, firework, sparklers, party shots and evening couple sessions. Extra batteries and SD cards are also in my bag. In case the weather is not too kind on the day, I also have umbrellas for that romantic shot in the rain.

How soon do we get our images?

12 weeks in a busy summer period but will always try for earlier wherever possible. Should it be slightly later then don't worry as it is much better to have me focus on your images with care than be in a rush.

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

I have a fantastic Team of Professionals that help and support me for photography and videography as all the images are edited by me for consistency and i would always recommend that should you need a videographer then choose both from the same supplier.  This ensures consistency on colour, focus, collaborative style that matches.

Do we have the rights to publish the wedding photos?

Yes, absolutely you have the print rights and social media rights. When it comes to using for commercial use you will need to speak with me for permission. The photographer holds full copyright to all the images taken. This is all very transparent in the contract you sign.

What are the forms of payment?

Bank Transfer or Cash. My bank details are on the contract for transparency. We don't take credit card payments unfortunately which is why we are able to keep our costs down.
